龙语句子的基础结构为 " 动词 - 宾语 - 主语 "，而英语为 " 主语 - 动词 - 宾语 "。在英语中我们会说：

"The wombat ate the Lalafell" ( 袋熊吃了拉拉斐尔 )

而龙则会说：

"Ate Lalafell Wombat." ( 吃了拉拉斐尔袋熊 )

这充分表示 " 行为 " 对于龙类的重要性，而非行为的发起者。相对来说 " 谁 " 吃了拉拉斐尔并不重要，重要的是 " 吃 " 这一行为已经发生，并采取相应的行为应对。

在英语中主语有很多种代词，然而龙语中只有以下三种：

第一人称：a ( 我、我们 )

第二、三人称：i ( 你、他、她、他们 )

第三人称 ( 无生命 ) ：a ( 它、那、这、那些 )

再次说明，龙语将大部分内容都简化了，龙会关注动作是否发生，而与被用来区分有生命和无生命。

形容词和副词永远出现在它们修饰的单词后面，因为它们所修饰的内容才是龙最关注的。例如：

[ slowly ate ] {the foolish Lalafell.} [ 缓慢地吃掉 ] { 愚蠢的拉拉斐尔 }

在龙语中语法会成为：

[ Ate slowly ] {Lalafell foolish} [ 吃掉缓慢地 ] { 拉拉斐尔愚蠢的 }

你可能注意到龙语中没有太多的语气词、过渡语等，因为龙认为它们是多余的，并不会带来额外的意义。

有一点例外是，当使用所有格时，所有格会位于修饰名词的前面，不过没有 ""s"，例如：

Thordans vengeance - Thor sjas ( 托尔丹的复仇 )

所有格的形式与人称代词没有区别，例如：

My/Our vengeance - a sjas ( 我 / 我们的复仇 )

Your/His/Her/Their vengeance - i sjas ( 你 / 他 / 她 / 他们的复仇 )

Its vengeance - a sjas ( 它的复仇 )

此外，在龙语中动词是不存在共轭形式的。在英语中我们使用动词的不同时态来代表动作发生在过去或将来，而龙则使用同样的词来表达过去、现在和将来——唯一的不同是龙会使用吸气的方式对动词进行发音来表示这是一个发生在未来的动作。

例如，"eat" 这个单词，在龙语中为 "ees"：

一般现在时：Eat - ees

过去时：Ate - ees

将来时：Will Eat - ees

前两个单词会伴随着呼气发音，发音类似于把 "east" 的 "t" 去掉，并且中间的则是将气流快速呼出。而最后一个则是在吸气时发音，在龙进行这样的发音是会在单词前面发出一个轻微的嘶嘶声，所以标注有。

那么为什么龙不会区分过去和现在呢？答案有关龙是如何看待时间的。龙相信 " 现在 " 是所有 " 过去 " 造就的 " 结果 "，所以两者是相同的。简单地说，对于一个活了上万年的人来说，" 现在 " 和 " 过去 " 又有什么区别呢？

译者注：记得人类企图和龙族修复关系时获得的回复吗？对于龙类而言，托尔丹一世所做的事情，即 " 过去 "，亦是 " 现在 "。人类会认为 " 过去的已经过去了 "，而龙不会。

其他动词形式，例如现在进行时和现在完成时，同样遵从过去 / 现在原则：

现在进行时：Is Eating - ees ( a )

现在完成时：He Eaten - ees ( for )

这里的关键是跟随在 "ees" 后面的助词。"A" ( 发音类似简短的 " 啊 " ) 在龙语中意味着 " 现在 / 当下 "。与动词结合强调了动作的进行。"For" 等同于 " 不是现在 "，当动词没有使用将来时同时又 " 不是现在 " 时，这就说明动作发生在过去。但是记住，龙并不在乎 " 过去 " 或者 " 现在 "，这样的表达方式往往用于强调，而非说清楚动作是否发生在过去或者现在。

否定句是非常简单的——在动词前面加个 "n" 即可。这里对有生命的和无生命的词没有区分。"n" 的发音就是简短的 "n"。例如：

nees fou a - We don ’ t eat chicken. ( 我们不吃鸡肉 )

在帖子开头我提到，龙会使用一个单词来代表不同的含义。有代表性的例子就是当一个含义同时有名词、动词、形容词等含义时：

Corrupt ( verb ) ( 腐化 ) - Corruption ( noun ) ( 腐化 ) - Corrupted ( adjective ) ( 腐化的 )

然而，在龙语中，这些词统一为 "te"，龙可以根据句子的上下文来判断这个词具体的含义，例如：
